I have a friend who's mother knit us our stockings and I love them. I paid her for them. She said the same think you did, that she could never charge enough for all the work and time it takes. I have to be totally honest though (and I am only saying this cause I know my friend will never read this) your are way nicer! I love the personal touches. They are absolutely beautiful! I love that all of the appliques are meaningful. I made plain velveteen stockings for IAndrew and myself the first Christmas we spent together, and a cute quilted one for Calder. I figure people would pay, at the very most, about $50 for such a stocking and that would work out to about $2 an hour -- which would probably just about cover costs, really.
